Having founded and scaled companies in both the healthcare and technology sectors James has a breath of experience gained from building these businesses from the ground up into international enterprises. Alongside his role as Group CEO James is also an active investor and advisor to high growth companies within the technology and ESG sectors.
Bala Shanmugam
GROUP CFO
Bala is a highly accomplished commercial, finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in instigating and managing change in fast paced businesses. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW with a proven track record of delivering significant results and developing exceptional teams. Bala has held various leadership positions throughout his career, including MD and CFO roles in both publicly traded and private companies. His expertise lies in process improvement, team development, M&A, financial planning and analysis, risk management, and strategic decision-making.
Joanne Lucy
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR - RECRUITMENT
Joanne is the Managing Director for our pioneering recruitment brands Major Players and Arrows. She has 15+ years’ experience focusing on growth, innovation and building high performance businesses. She is driven by building and working with brands and businesses that positively impact and shape the world we live in, and she is passionate bout creating a more equitable future for all. Jo is also a qualified Transformational Coach, where she works with people to explore limiting self-beliefs and allow for greater insight into their lives in order to realize their full potential.
Charlie Sell
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR - SOLUTIONS & CONSULTANCY
Charlie is the Group Managing Director of our Solution and Consulting brands: Build Circle, Boosta, Pivot and Caissa Recruitment & Exec. He has 15+ years’ experience of building solution focused companies across the UK, EU and Americas. Having spent 7 years living in The Netherlands Charlie is an expert in deploying teams across geographies along with solving complex business challenges. Charlie leads our Investment strategy looking for the best companies to join the Majar Group. He is a passionate sports fan, taxi driver to his two children and trustee to both the AGG Foundation and Winchester Round Table charity.
Rosa Rolo
GROUP STRATEGY DIRECTOR
As the Group Strategy Director at Majar Group, Rosa is accountable for establishing the strategic vision for the company by collaborating with the Executive Board to guarantee that our services are both efficient and effective. For the past 14 years, Rosa has worked with various clients to provide talent acquisition services and foster high-performing teams, recognizing that talent is crucial to the success of any business. Her ultimate goal is to establish a world that values and celebrates diversity, and she believes that talent strategies, particularly in the innovative creative and tech sectors, can contribute to meaningful change. Additionally, Rosa is a certified coach and specializes in helping individuals find a work-life balance.
